Established by God (1 Chronicles 17:1-15)

How will you be remembered? Or maybe a better question, will you be remembered? It can be easy to spend our lives trying to leave a mark on the world, to make an impact, to establish a legacy. But as all too often happens, the pursuit to build a legacy often ends in either pride or despair. In 1 Chronicles 17 king David wanted to build a permanent house for the Lord, but instead of David establishing God's house, God established David's. When we recognize that Jesus has already established His people, we can find security, hope, and rest for the future.
