Steven Musa-Kormayea

Steven Musa-Kormayea is a long term friend of CCB. He first became a mission partner when he was the Director of the IFES Gospel work in Gambia (GamFES). We have been and remain enthusiastic supporters of teat gospel work amongst students.

In fact, one of the founding members of CCB, Jane Benney worked for a year for GamFES a few years after we launched. During that time she also met and subsequently married a Gambian she met out there, Chucku Johnson.

Having now handed over the GamFes work to Noble Roberts (another of our Mission Partners), Steven is now the Principal of the Servants of the Word School of Ministry. It’s the Gambian version of the Cornhill Training Course that Hannah and Jay have been attending. They began this year with nine students, a faculty of five local lecturers and a handful of visiting speakers from the UK including some from the Good Book College.
Steven is married to Helen and has four children Catherine, Esther, Samuel and Hannah. Catherine is in her second year at University (Fourah Bay College, Freetown Sierra Leone) studying Engineering. Esther is in Grade 8, Samuel in Grade 7 and Hannah in Grade 3.

Steven is in the UK for a short time this summer. He’ll be at CCB this Sunday. We’re hoping to interview him in the morning and at length in the evening. Do try to come if you can. We want our Mission Partnerships to have real relational substance to them. And whilst what we can accomplish in an interview is limited, I think that most of us find it easier to pray for someone if there’s some real life ‘flesh on the bones’ of the monthly prayer requests!
