On Sunday

All Age Church meets at 10.30am

Evening Church meets at 6.30pm

Although informal, relaxed and contemporary three governing principles shape both our Sunday meetings.

We meet to hear God speak to us . We believe the Bible to be the primary means by which God has chosen to reveal himself today. As such, during our time together considerable emphasis is placed on seeking to understand what God is saying to us from the text of the Bible. Our sermons aim to faithfully explain what the biblical authors wrote, and to think through the implications for 21st Century living. To help us do that, there is frequently an opportunity for open questions after talks, and whoever speaks is around after the service to discuss any further questions.

We meet to respond to God . We encourage one another to respond in prayer as we express our dependence upon Him and in praise as we rejoice in the great salvation won for us by Jesus Christ. In our praise we seek to bring together the best theology with the best music to encourage God’s people to worship him in song as best we can. We are blessed with a good number of excellent musicians, and enjoy lively singing. That’s especially true at our evening meeting. The songs that we sing represent the best of UK, USA and Australian writers and combine new and traditional music.

We meet to encourage one another .  To keep going as disciples of Jesus Christ we need one another. as we face the challenges and opportunities that living for him in 21st century London presents. Many within our regular congregation are investigating Christianity for the first time as adults, so we strive to be accessible, clear and jargon-free.

Our style of meeting on Sundays reflects who we are:

On Sunday mornings

  • There are plenty of children of all ages, so we enjoy a fair amount of informality (so nobody will “Shush!” you or ‘tut’ if your child is noisy).
  • We enjoy the best of traditional hymns and contemporary songs where the words reflect timeless Biblical truth, and connect with the passage of the Bible we are considering.

On Sunday evenings

  • There is frequently an extended opportunity for open questions after talks, and whoever speaks is around after the service to discuss any further questions.
  • Our meetings will often include a short comment on a recent film, a ministry issue or current news item viewed through the lens of the Bible. We hope this practice helps us to appreciate the Bible’s wisdom, and to engage thoughtfully and constructively with our culture.
